Who is Flour Girl?

Lori Bailey is the owner and creative mind behind the wonderful cake creations at Flour Girl Cakery. She started baking cakes when she was 20 in Mt. Zion, IL and learned by watching and asking her sister Debbie. She has been baking ever since, refining her skills over the past 29 years. Lori is proud to say that all of her skills have been self-taught with the exception of a class by Colette Peters, for gum paste flowers.

Lori specializes in gourmet fondants, sugar flowers and delicate gum paste creations.

Take a look at the baby shower cake to the right. The entire cake is edible, handmade and the rattle actually RATTLES! The iguana on the chocolate Groom's cake to the right is also entirely edible and hand sculpted. Lori creates beautiful and unique cakes that taste absolutely delicious, never frozen and always fresh!

Flour Girl’s Goal

Lori’s goal is to create the most beautiful dessert you could imagine for your wedding or special event. The design is all about the bride and groom, created to fit your personality, with the goal of making the cake exactly what you desire. It will be a delicious piece of art for your wedding table or special event.

Lori’s cakes are made fresh with a homemade butter cream icing that is “to-die-for”.

Closed: Sunday – Monday
Open: Tuesday – Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Saturdays are reserved for wedding cake deliveries. However, other occasion cakes may be picked up Friday evening, or Saturday morning 7 am to 9 am by appointment.
